Dhaka, June 5 -- Speculations run high about a chance meeting between Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus and long-exiled BNP acting chairperson Tarique Rahman during the UK visit of the head of interim government.
Chief Adviser Yunus is scheduled to visit the United Kingdom on June 9-13, incidentally, in the wake of tensions over some issues in the domestic political arena where BNP is the key actor.
Though acting foreign secretary Ruhul Alam Siddique Wednesday said the official itinerary of the CA visit does not include the envisaged meeting, highly competent sources at the ministry told the FE that the meeting may take place if interest would be shown from the BNP side.
