Dhaka, Jan. 30 -- Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and Standing Committee Member Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury are set to travel to the United States to attend a special breakfast hosted by US President Donald Trump.

According to sources, both senior BNP leaders will leave Bangladesh on February 02.

During their stay in the US, they will attend a dinner on February 05 and a breakfast event on February 06.

"We will leave Dhaka on February 02 via Emirates Airlines to attend the scheduled programmes," Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury told The Financial Express (FE).

He said that they may also participate in some sideline meetings during the visit.
