Dhaka, May 29 -- The government has formed the Ad-hoc Bar Council, the regulatory body of lawyers, with Attorney General of Bangladesh as its Chairman as an ex-officio.
The Ad-hoc Bar Council will be effective for a period of one year from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026, according to a notification issued by the Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Ministry on Wednesday, BSS reports.
The government has formed the Ad-hoc Bar Council under the powers vested in it in Article-8 of The Bangladesh Legal Practitioner's and Bar Council Order, 1972 (President's Order).
