Dhaka, Sept. 30 -- The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has approved filing a case against Gulsan Ara Mia, wife of Awami League publicity secretary Md Abdus Sobhan Mia alias Golap, for failing to submit her wealth statement within the given deadline.

On Tuesday, ACC Director General Akhter Hossain confirmed this to journalists at the commission's head office in the city.

According to the ACC, on April 15 this year, an order was issued asking Gulsan Ara Mia to submit her wealth statement.

She later applied for an extension on July 23. Considering her request, the ACC granted 15 additional working days, setting the new deadline in August. However, she still failed to submit the report within the extended time.
