Dhaka, Nov. 4 -- The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has decided to file a case against Nurjahan Begum, wife of former Awami League lawmaker from Feni-2 constituency Nizam Uddin Hazari, on charges of possessing illegal wealth worth Tk 453.4 million and carrying out suspicious transactions of Tk 433.1 million.

Director General Md Akhter Hossain confirmed the approval of the case on Tuesday.

According to the ACC complaint, Nurjahan Begum declared assets worth Tk 536.3 million in her wealth statement submitted to the Commission.

After deducting family expenses, the ACC found evidence of illegal wealth amounting to Tk 453.4 million.
