Dhaka, Nov. 20 -- The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has launched an investigation into the allegations that the state incurred a loss of Tk 3.32 billion in the name of purchasing the historic Rose Garden, known as the 'birthplace' of the Awami League (AL).
Anyone found involved in irregularities during the inquiry will face action, ACC DG Md Akhtar Hossain said on Wednesday.
The then Awami League government purchased the privately-owned mansion in 2018. The ACC has formed a team to investigate alleged irregularities in the procurement.
