Dhaka, July 1 -- The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has launched investigations into five more officials of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) over allegations of corruption and irregularities.

The officials currently under investigation are Abdul Rashid Miah, Additional Commissioner, Large Taxpayers Unit (VAT); Lutfur Azim, Member; Md Alamgir Hossain, former Additional Director General, Central Intelligence Cell (CIC); Md Shihabul Islam, Deputy Tax Commissioner, Tax Zone-16, Dhaka; and Md Tarek Hasan, Joint Commissioner.
