Dhaka, Nov. 26 -- The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has filed a case against former minister Farhad Hossain and his wife Syeda Monalisa Islam on charges of acquiring assets beyond known sources.

ACC director general Md Akter Hossain said that assistant director Khorshed Alam revealed the inconsistent of wealth through investigation, BSS reports.

According to investigation report, Farhad Hossain acquired and possessed assets moveable and immoveable worth of around Tk. 2.43 crore, while evidence was found about his moveable and immoveable wealth worth of around Tk. 1.95 crore. So, his acquired assets worth of around Tk. 1.11 crore beyond his known sources of income, it said.
