Dhaka, Oct. 28 -- The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has approved a case against former press secretary to the ousted PM Md Naimul Islam Khan for failing to submit his wealth statement within the stipulated time as required by law.

He was appointed as the press secretary to the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in July 2024 and remained in the position until Hasina fled to India on August 5, 2025.

The accused, Md Naimul Islam Khan, son of Md Nurul Islam Khan and Nurun Nahar Khanam, currently resides at House No. 23, Road No. 6, Nikunja-1, Khilkhet in the city, while his permanent address is 125, First Lane, Kalabagan, Dhanmondi, Dhaka.
