Dhaka, Feb. 20 -- Abul Kasem Khan, vice chairman of AK Khan and Company Limited, has been appointed chairperson of Business Initiative Leading Development (BUILD) for the 2026-27 tenure.

Mr Khan, a member of the BUILD trustee board since 2020, assumed the leadership role following a formal resolution at the 39th trustee board meeting in accordance with the BUILD Deed of Trust, according to an official statement.

Nominated by the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI), he currently serves as managing director of AK Khan Telecom Limited.

He also previously served as president of DCCI in 2010, 2017, and 2018.
