Dhaka, March 20 -- In a meeting of the Advisory Council, a proposal to grant leave through an executive order on April 3 (Thursday) in observance of the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr was approved. As a result, government employees this year will enjoy a continuous 9-day holiday.

The approval was granted on Thursday (March 20) during a meeting held at the office of the chief adviser.

The decision was made to grant the holiday on the basis of the moon sighting, with Eid-ul-Fitr expected to be celebrated on March 31 (Monday). The government holiday schedule has been determined accordingly.
