Dhaka, July 21 -- A total of 5,206 candidates have passed the multiple-choice question (MCQ) test for the special 48th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) aimed at recruiting doctors.
Publishing the results on Sunday night, the Public Service Commission (PSC) said they have been declared eligible for the viva for the posts of assistant surgeon and assistant dental surgeons.
After the oral test, 3,000 of them will get the opportunity to join the government service as doctors, according to bdnews24.com.
According to the results, 4,695 candidates have been qualified for the assistant surgeon position, while 511 for the assistant dental surgeon in the MCQ test.
