Dhaka, June 23 -- Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) on Sunday seized 160,000 pieces of yaba tablets in a raid in the Mirzajora area in Teknaf upazila of Cox's Bazar.

Acting on a tip-off that a large consignment of narcotics might enter Bangladesh from Myanmar through the Mirzajora area, 800 yards southeast of the border pillar, BGB's Teknaf Battalion (2 BGB) immediately deployed special patrols at several strategic locations along the embankment, Naf River and areas adjacent to Mirzajora.

At the same time, another naval patrol from BGB's Damdamiya BOP secretly took position in a phantom boat on the Naf River near MIrzajora, reports BSS citing a BGB press release.
