Dhaka, Feb. 18 -- Nearly 1,400 weapons and 250,000 rounds of ammunition, looted after the August 5 event, remain unrecovered as of February 18, 2025. The government has sought assistance from district commissioners in recovering these arms and ammunition.

The information was revealed by Lieutenant General (Retd) Abdul Hafiz, Special Assistant to the chief adviser, following a session on the Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces Division at the District Commissioners' conference held at Osmani Memorial Hall on Tuesday (February 18).
