Dhaka, May 5 -- The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) on Sunday reduced the price for a mass-used 12kg LPG cylinder by Tk 19 to Tk 1,431 for May.
Consumers can also buy liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in various cylinder sizes - ranging from 5.5 kg to 45 kg - at proportionately lower prices from the private sector.
However, the commission raised the price of per 12.5kg cylinder of the state-owned LP Gas's LPG by 19.56 per cent to Tk 825 from previous Tk 690.
BERC Chairman Jalal Ahmed announced the new LPG price to the media at the BERC office in the capital's Kawran Bazar on Sunday.
