Dhaka, Feb. 9 -- The Supreme Court has released information about 12 judges sent on leave amid student protests at the court premises, demanding the resignation of those accused of "partisanship".
Seven of these judges are currently under investigation by the Supreme Judicial Council.
The information was made public on the court's website on Saturday, reports bdnews24.com.
The chief justice had sent 12 judges from the High Court Division on leave in October 2024.
"Of these, one judge resigned on Jan 30, 2025, while two others have not been permanently appointed to the High Court Division. Two judges have already retired," the statement said.
