Dhaka, Feb. 13 -- Ten people, including five police members, were injured when a group of villagers attacked a mobile court in Cumilla's Daudkandi upazila on Thursday, authorities said.
The attack occurred around 12:30 pm in Lakkhipur village under the upazila's Iliotganj Union, local media reported citing Assistant Commissioner (Land) Redwan Islam.
Mr Redwan said he led the court on allegations that a man, Md Hasan, was using an excavator to dig earth, damaging villagers' farmlands.
As the court team arrived, villagers armed with machetes and sticks, allegedly linked to Hasan, attacked, injuring five police officers and five court staff, he said.
