Dhaka, Oct. 28 -- Enhancing skills in new technologies and participation in more value-added outsourcing jobs are essential to increase export earnings from the country's IT sector, speakers said at a programme on Wednesday.

They made the observation at a meet-the-press organised by the Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) to announce the 'BASIS Outsourcing Award 2021' at its office in the city's Kawran Bazar area.

BASIS President Syed Almas Kabir presided over the meeting, while its Senior Vice President Farhana A Rahman, Vice President Mushfiqur Rahman, Director Rashad Kabir, Senior Executive Vice President and Head of International Affairs at Bank Asia Md Zia Arfin spoke on the occasion, among others. ...
