New Delhi, July 14 -- Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said 53 bulk milk coolers with Dairy Development Directorate would be given to dairy cooperatives and milk producers under public-private-partnership mode, reports The Sentinel.

While evaluating the dairy sector, the chief minister directed the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department to prepare a roadmap for inspiring the youth of the State to engage in the sector through generation of self-employment opportunities according to the reports published in indiancooperative.com.

The Chief Minister also mooted the idea of collateral free loans to be provided to dairy farmers through Kisan Credit Cards.
