Dhaka, Aug. 10 -- East Asia and the Asia-Pacific region are facing an onslaught of extreme weather events, with record-breaking temperatures, torrential rains, and unexpected snowfall disrupting travel and tourism and raising concerns about the growing impact of climate change on the industry.
In Japan, the summer of 2025 has added to a worrying trend. Following the hottest summers on record in both 2023 and 2024, and the warmest-ever June this year, meteorologists report that July temperatures have once again hit record highs, marking the third consecutive year of such conditions.
