Dhaka, July 9 -- Sri Lanka recorded 36,002 international tourist arrivals in the first six days of July 2025, reflecting continued momentum in the country's tourism recovery.

India remained the top source market, followed by the United Kingdom, Australia, China, and Germany, according to official data.

The latest figures bring the cumulative tourist arrivals for 2025 to 1,204,046, highlighting Sri Lanka's growing appeal as a preferred destination in the region.

The upward trend comes amid ongoing efforts by tourism authorities to promote the island's cultural heritage, wildlife, and beach attractions.
