Dhaka, July 20 -- Sri Lanka's tourism sector continues its strong recovery in 2025, with the country welcoming 1,266,809 international visitors so far this year, according to official data.
The momentum remains steady, with over 100,000 tourist arrivals recorded in the first 17 days of July alone, underscoring growing global interest in the island nation as a travel destination.
India remains Sri Lanka's top source market, both in year-to-date figures and for the month of July, highlighting the strength of regional travel ties and sustained demand from South Asia's largest outbound travel market.
Industry experts anticipate further growth in the coming months with upcoming seasonal promotions and international collaborations.
