Dhaka, Dec. 15 -- Pakistan's Passport Department has launched a new online verification system to address long-standing problems faced by applicants during fingerprint authentication, officials said on Thursday ( Dec 11).
The upgraded system allows users to verify their fingerprints through NADRA's Pak-ID mobile application, streamlining the online passport application process.
Authorities said the move is aimed at making applications faster, smoother and more user-friendly for Pakistani citizens at home and abroad.
Officials added that in case fingerprint verification fails, applicants can opt for facial verification, a new feature expected to significantly reduce delays and frustrations for those struggling with the previous system....
