Dhaka, Feb. 3 -- A massive new Terminal One at John F. Kennedy International Airport is nearing completion, aiming to transform passenger experience and airport operations. The 2.6 million-square-foot terminal will replace JFK's aging Terminals 1, 2, and 3 and is expected to open in phases later this year.
The USD 19 billion redevelopment, led by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, targets congestion, capacity limits, and low global satisfaction scores. Terminal One will feature expansive open spaces, natural light, biometric bag drops, remote security screening, advanced baggage systems, and radiant heated floors.
