Dhaka, April 2 -- Middle Eastern carriers saw a 3.1 per cent year-on-year increase in demand in February, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) said.
Capacity of the regional airlines increased 1.3 per cent year-on-year and the load factor was 81.9 per cent, a growth of 1.4 percentage points compared to February 2024, IATA data showed.
Globally, total demand, measured in revenue passenger kilometres (RPK), was up 2.6 per cent compared to February 2024. Total capacity, measured in available seat kilometers (ASK), was up two per cent year on year. The February load factor was 81.1 per cent (an increase of 0.4 percentage points compared to February 2024).
