Dhaka, July 3 -- Passengers aboard SpiceJet flight SG-1080 from Goa to Pune on July 1 experienced a mid-air scare when a window frame came loose.
A passenger, Mandar Sawant, reported that the incident occurred about 30 minutes after takeoff, near a mother and her baby.
The cabin crew reassigned their seats and attempted to reattach the frame.
SpiceJet clarified that the dislodged part was a non-structural cosmetic window trim, not affecting cabin pressure or flight safety.
The outer, pressure-bearing windowpane remained intact.
The airline confirmed there was no depressurisation and that passenger safety was never compromised. The component was repaired after landing.
