Dhaka, Jan. 6 -- Macau recorded a record 40.06 million visitor arrivals in 2025, a 1.7pc increase on 2019's pre-COVID level, according to the Public Security Police (PSP).

The figure exceeded the Macau Government Tourism Office's forecast of 39 million and marked a 14.7% year-on-year rise, signaling a full recovery from the pandemic.

Domestic travelers from mainland China dominated arrivals, accounting for 72.4pc, followed by Hong Kong residents at 18.2pc, foreign nationals 6.9pc, and Taiwanese visitors 2.5pc.

The PSP said the data will be adjusted later this month by Macau's Statistics and Census Bureau (DSEC).
