New Delhi, Feb. 26 -- India's largest airline by market share, IndiGo, has introduced its first wide-body aircraft-a leased Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner-into its fleet. The budget carrier will begin daily flights on the Delhi-Bangkok route from March 1.

IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers revealed that the airline plans to expand its operations to Europe in the coming months.

"As India's aviation sector rapidly evolves to meet soaring travel demand, IndiGo is well-positioned to lead this growth," said Elbers. He added, "The induction of our first wide-body aircraft is a significant milestone. We're starting with the Delhi-Bangkok route and aim to launch European flights by mid-summer."
