Dhaka, March 25 -- Online travel platform EaseMyTrip has expanded into the charter aviation market following an in-principle approval from its board to acquire a 49pc stake in the debt-laden Big Charter, also known as FlyBig.
With this acquisition, EaseMyTrip aims to tap into high-margin segments such as charter services and non-scheduled air transport operations.
Big Charter has four aircraft in its fleet and has historically operated on regional Udaan routes. In FY24, Big Charter generated Rs.128.75 crore in revenue.
However, due to commercial and financial constraints, the airline had to suspend operations temporarily.
