Dhaka, July 12 -- All Bangladeshi citizens must have COVID-negative certificates from the coronavirus testing centres authorised by the government to be allowed to leave the country.

The move follows an inter-ministerial virtual meeting held today, July 12, chaired by AK Abdul Momen, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh, said a press release of the foreign ministry.

The meeting also recommended uploading all COVID-19 negative certificates on the website of respective authorised coronavirus testing authorities so that immigration officers can check their authenticity before allowing anyone to leave the country.
