Dhaka, Nov. 13 -- An Air India Express flight from Mumbai to Varanasi made an emergency landing at Varanasi airport on Wednesday (Nov 12) after receiving a bomb threat.

The airline confirmed the incident, stating that security protocols were immediately activated, and a Bomb Threat Assessment Committee was alerted.

The aircraft landed safely, and all passengers were disembarked.

An airport official said the landing was prompted by a bomb threat aboard the flight, but no explosives were found.

The airline spokesperson confirmed that the aircraft would undergo additional security checks before being cleared for further operations.
