India, Aug. 12 -- Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Tuesday announced the constitution of a three-member committee to investigate the corruption allegations against Justice Yashwant Verma in the backdrop of burnt cash recovered from his residence in Delhi.
The committee was formed after the Speaker received a resolution signed by members of ruling and Opposition parties seeking his removal.
Birla informed Lok Sabha that the committee will comprise Justice Aravind Kumar, Judge of the Supreme Court, Justice Manindra Mohan Shrivastava, Chief Justice of the Madras High Court; and B V Acharya, a Senior Advocate at the Karnataka High Court who will present the report as soon as possible.
