Amritsar: In a tragic incident wherein spurious liquor has claimed lives for 15 people in the Majitha constituency. All the victims were from the BPL (below middle class family).
Confirming the death of 15, police said that the alleged accused who was a master mind of running spurious liquor nexus was arrested under section 105 of BNS and 61A Excise Act identified as Prabhjit Singh . Those arrested were Kulbir Singh, Sahib Singh Gurjant Singh and female Ninder Kaur.
Police said that incident was reportedaround 9.30 pm last night that people were dying due to consuming spurious liquor and immediately arrested the main alleged accused.
