New Delhi, Feb. 21 -- Jammu and Kashmir experienced much-needed rain and snowfall on Thursday, breaking a prolonged dry spell across the region.
The fresh weather conditions, however, led to traffic disruptions on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway. Snow accumulation near the Navyug tunnel temporarily blocked traffic, while shooting stones added to the challenges faced by commuters.
Traffic resumed on Friday morning, allowing light motor vehicles to pass from both directions. Despite this, several key routes, including the SSG Road, Bhaderwah-Chamba Road, Mughal Road, and Sinthan Road, remain shut due to snow.
