The Delhi Police on Tuesday arrested a wanted criminal involved in violent attacks on police teams and a robbery case after a brief encounter in east Delhi's Ghazipur area.
The accused has been identified as Khemchand alias Sameer (35) who belonged to Jharkhand's Godda district, living in Sant Nagar, Burari, Delhi.
The incident happened when a joint operation by Anti-Narcotics Squad East District and Special Staff East District was launched after he attacked two police personnel Meerut road, opposite ISBT, Anand Vihar.
