India enjoys close and friendly relations with both Iran and Israel
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday received a phone call from his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu during which the two leaders discussed the ongoing tensions between Israel and Iran.
According to a PMO statement Netanyahu briefed PM Modi on the latest developments.
PM Modi too conveyed New Delhi's deep concern over the unfolding situation and stressed the need for "early restoration of peace and stability in the region."
