Government asks Farmers Unions to identify specific issues by Dec 2, to be discussed on Dec 3
India, Dec. 1 -- The meeting between the agriculture minister and farmers' representatives remained inconclusive on Tuesday.
Agriculture minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal and Minister of State for Commerce Som Prakash interacted with the representatives of Farmers Organizations of Punjab in Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi.
The next meeting will be held on December 3.
The Ministers again explained the benefits of Farm Reform Acts to the representatives of the Farmers' Unions. Various issues related to Farm Reform Acts were discussed at length and talks were held in a cordial atmosphere, according to the government statement.
