A fresh encounter broke out between militants and security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district on Sunday evening, prompting a large-scale anti-militancy operation in the Pir Panjal valley.
According to Army officials, security personnel made contact with the militants during a joint operation with the Jammu and Kashmir Police in the Lasana area of Surankote.
