Srinagar: An encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists on Thursday morning in the upper reaches of Chatroo in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir.
According to officials, a joint team of the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police launched a cordon and search operation in the area following specific inputs about the presence of militants. The operation led to contact with the hiding terrorists, triggering a gunfight.
