India, April 4 -- In a relief to the residents of North East Delhi, the government is all set to construct double elevated roads to decongest the roads and reduce the incidents of traffic jams.

The government will build a 5.5 kilometre to 6 kilometre long elevated road in Pusta Sonia Vihar with an estimated cost of Rs 500 core. This project is aimed at easing traffic and improving connectivity in the trans-Yamuna region.

After discussions with the chief minister, the project has been approved, and work will commence following deliberations with the Flood Department," Verma said.
