New Delhi, March 25 -- Delhi chief minister Rekha Gupta on Tuesday said that the government has allocated Rs 300 crore to reduce pollution in the city in its Budget 2025-26 and 506 crore for the environment and forest department.
The estimated budget of Rs 1 lakh crore focuses on key areas including electricity, roads, water, and connectivity. Gupta called it a "historic Budget" and emphasised that the era of "corruption and inefficiency" was over.
"This is not an ordinary Budget, it is the first step to develop Delhi which was ruined in the past 10 years. Delhi went down in every aspect of development in the past decade. The previous government ruined the economic health of the national capital like termites," Gupta said.
