New Delhi, Jan. 30 -- Vertiv, a global provider of critical digital infrastructure, has introduced Vertiv Next Predict, an AI-based predictive maintenance service for modern data centers and AI computing facilities. The service is designed to replace traditional maintenance models that rely on fixed schedules or response after failures occur.
The new offering uses operational data from power, cooling, and IT infrastructure to identify changes in equipment behavior before faults lead to outages. By continuously monitoring systems, Vertiv Next Predict is intended to help operators detect risks earlier and prioritize maintenance based on the likely operational impact rather than time intervals.
Data center operators are facing higher infrastructure stress as AI workloads increase power density, cooling demand, and system complexity. According to Vertiv, predictive maintenance supported by analytics can provide clearer visibility into infrastructure health across single sites and distributed environments, where manual oversight is limited.
Vertiv Next Predict applies machine learning to detect anomalies in operating conditions and compare real-time performance against expected baselines. When deviations are identified, the system evaluates possible consequences and ranks issues by risk level. The platform then performs root cause analysis to identify contributing factors and recommends corrective actions. Vertiv service teams carry out maintenance tasks based on these assessments.
The service currently supports a range of Vertiv power and thermal management systems, including battery energy storage systems and liquid cooling technologies. Vertiv said the platform is structured to expand support to additional infrastructure components over time, allowing customers to integrate new technologies without changing service models.
