New Delhi, Sept. 9 -- Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has entered into a partnership with the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) to develop and industrialize Physical AI technologies. The collaboration will focus on creating systems that integrate robotics, artificial intelligence, and intelligent digital technologies to enable machines to interact with the physical world.
The joint effort will use CEA's expertise in scientific research and digital systems along with TCS's global reach and domain knowledge to design and deploy AI-driven solutions for industrial applications. The two organizations aim to address needs across manufacturing, logistics, automation, and other sectors, with a focus on improving efficiency and resilience in operations.
As part of the partnership, the teams will work on prototypes, pilot projects, and training programs to support the adoption of Physical AI in businesses. Areas of research include robots that can adapt to dynamic environments, systems for safe and effective collaboration between humans and machines, and socially assistive robots designed to provide guidance and support in social contexts.
The collaboration will be supported by TCS's Pace Port innovation center in Paris, which connects researchers, startups, and industry players to develop scalable solutions. Through this initiative, TCS aims to strengthen its engagement with the French technology ecosystem and support the growth of the AI-driven industrial economy.
Alexandre Bounouh, Director of CEA-List, said, "This partnership will enable us to connect cutting-edge research with the concrete needs of businesses and to jointly invent the intelligent systems of tomorrow."
Rammohan Gourneni, Managing Director - TCS, France, said, "Physical AI is a key technology for the future of industry, as it combines the power of AI with the intelligence of physical systems. This partnership marks an important step in supporting our clients in their industrial transformation."
