Meta India's Public Policy Head Shivnath Thukral resigns
Shivnath Thukral, who heads public policy at Meta India, is set to leave the company at the end of this month. Thukral joined Meta, then known as Facebook, in 2017 and served in various policy roles over the past seven and a half years. He took over as Director of Public Policy for Meta India in November 2022, succeeding Rajiv Aggarwal.
Prior to this, he served as the Director of Public Policy for WhatsApp India for nearly four years. In March 2024, he was promoted to Vice-President for Public Policy at Meta. (Read more)
Anand Balakrishnan named CFO at Happiest Minds Technologies
Happiest Minds Technologies has appointed Anand Balakrishnan as its new Chief Financial Officer. He will report to Managing Director Venkatraman Narayanan, who will step down from his CFO responsibilities while continuing in his MD role.
This change follows the company's leadership restructuring in March, when Joseph Anantharaju was named CEO. Anantharaju, a founding member of the Bengaluru-based IT firm since 2011, previously held the role of Executive Vice-Chairman and led its software products and platforms division.
Balakrishnan brings over two decades of experience in finance, accounting, and strategic leadership, having worked with companies such as Marsh McLennan (formerly JLT), GE Healthcare, and Mindteck in various senior roles. (Read more)
Schindler India appoints Binita Prasad as Head of IT & Digital
Schindler India, known for its elevators and escalators, has appointed Binita Prasad as the new Head of IT & Digital. Prasad brings nearly 30 years of experience in manufacturing and technology, with a focus on IT strategy, IoT, and AI/ML.
In her new role, she will lead digital transformation initiatives aimed at boosting customer experience, innovation, and operational efficiency.
Before joining Schindler, Prasad held senior IT leadership roles across several organisations. At Saint-Gobain (Grindwell Norton), she led digital projects that improved customer interactions and operational processes. She has also worked with Sany Heavy Industry India, Bristlecone (a Mahindra Group company), and JCB India in key technology roles. (Read more)
KV Dinesh Babu Joins Veritas Finance as CISO
KV Dinesh Babu has been appointed Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Veritas Finance Limited. He brings over a decade of experience in information security, infrastructure engineering, and cybersecurity leadership to the role, where he will lead Veritas Finance's security strategy and protect its digital ecosystem.
Before joining Veritas Finance, Dinesh held leadership positions at Equitas Small Finance Bank, Mphasis, Standard Chartered, and CSS Corp. His expertise includes enterprise information security, network architecture, risk management, and regulatory compliance. Notably, at Equitas, he played a crucial role in strengthening cybersecurity frameworks within the banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) sector.
