New Delhi, Sept. 16 -- Renault Group India has announced two senior leadership appointments as part of its strategy to bolster engineering and design capabilities, reinforcing India's position as a global hub for the French automaker.

Dr. Vikraman V has been appointed Chief of Renault Engineering at Renault Nissan Technology & Business Centre India (RNTBCI), Chennai. He will lead engineering excellence and innovation, supporting Renault Group's global transformation and India's growing role in advanced R&D. Vikraman joins from Mahindra & Mahindra, where he led the Vehicle Mechanical Division and held senior roles for nearly two decades. He brings expertise across EV and ICE platforms and holds a master's and a PhD in automotive engineering from IIT Madras.

Sandeep Bhambra has been named Head of Renault Design Centre India (RDCI), while continuing as Chief Designer, Advanced Renault. In his expanded role, he will shape future portfolios rooted in Renault's design language and future innovation. Sandeep will report to Laurens van den Acker, Chief Design Officer, Renault Group. Since 2021, he has led advanced design and concept projects in France, including the Renault 5 Turbo 3E, 4EVER Trophy, Scenic Vision, and Filante Record 2025. His experience also spans leadership roles at Peugeot and Tata Motors.

The Renault Design Centre Chennai has been renamed Renault Design Centre India (RDCI), underscoring the company's ambition to accelerate its development in one of the world's most dynamic automotive markets and establish it as a benchmark hub for design and engineering.
