New Delhi, July 3 -- RateGain Travel Technologies Limited has announced the appointment of Ashish Sikka as Senior Vice President and Business Head of UNO, the company's suite of artificial intelligence-led platforms aimed at the hospitality sector. In this role, Sikka will be responsible for the overall strategy, development and global adoption of the UNO products, which are designed to simplify and automate hotel operations.

UNO combines several of RateGain's core offerings into a single platform, including its channel management system, central reservation system (CRS), booking engine and VIVA, an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered voice and agent solution. By bringing these services together, the company aims to help hotels improve distribution, manage bookings more effectively and reduce manual intervention in day-to-day tasks.

According to RateGain, UNO has already been adopted by a number of hotel operators who have reported improvements in booking volumes and operational efficiency. The company has positioned the platform as part of its broader effort to embed artificial intelligence across its software portfolio.

Sikka joins RateGain with more than 17 years of professional experience across strategy, transformation and business leadership. Prior to this role, he held senior positions at organisations including Ecom Express, OYO, Propstack and Kearney. His work has spanned multiple markets, notably India, Europe and Southeast Asia, providing him with a broad perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing the travel industry.

In a statement regarding the appointment, Bhanu Chopra, Founder and Managing Director of RateGain, said that Sikka's combination of strategic expertise and understanding of AI-led business models made him well suited to guide the growth of the UNO platforms. Chopra noted that the travel sector is undergoing significant change, with artificial intelligence increasingly influencing how companies operate and engage with customers.

Commenting on his new position, Sikka observed that travel is becoming more personalised, segmented and driven by digital technologies, creating a need for software solutions that can support hotels and travel providers in maintaining competitiveness and improving their commercial performance. He said he was looking forward to working with the RateGain team to further develop the UNO suite and scale it globally.

Sikka completed his undergraduate studies at the College of Business Studies, University of Delhi, and holds an MBA from IE Business School in Spain.

The appointment follows RateGain's recent launch of UNO VIVA, which the company describes as the first AI-based voice agent for hotel reservations. The addition of VIVA reflects RateGain's continued investment in artificial intelligence tools intended to support automation and efficiency across the travel and hospitality industries.
