New Delhi, May 5 -- Ajay Gupta has been promoted to Vice President and Country Manager for the SAARC region at Netskope, the company said in a statement. Gupta's elevation follows a year of continued global growth for the cybersecurity firm, which now serves over 3,900 customers worldwide.

Gupta joined Netskope in 2018, coinciding with the opening of its first office in India. Over the past seven years, he has overseen the company's expansion across key Indian cities including Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Kolkata. The India operations have grown significantly, and the country is now home to Netskope's second-largest development centre.

In the past year, Netskope added three new data centres in India-bringing the total to eight-with locations in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Chennai. These centres are part of the company's NewEdge private security cloud network and aim to enhance performance and provide fully local data processing.

The firm's investment in the SAARC region is underlined by major customer deployments, such as a recent implementation of its security services for 250,000 employees at a major IT company.

Tony Burnside, Senior Vice President and Head of APAC at Netskope, praised Gupta's leadership, stating that the company's progress in the SAARC region reflects growing demand for modern, consolidated security and networking solutions. "Ajay and his team have built on strong foundations, and this promotion is a recognition of their achievements," Burnside said.
