New Delhi, April 21 -- Hitachi Vantara, a subsidiary of Hitachi Ltd., focused on data storage, infrastructure, and hybrid cloud management solutions for enterprises, has introduced new features for its Virtual Storage Platform One (VSP One) aimed at improving performance, cyber resilience, and energy efficiency for enterprise storage systems. The company is offering three new service-level guarantees focused on these key areas.

The updates are intended to support businesses facing complex IT environments, cybersecurity risks, and sustainability targets. VSP One now includes performance guarantees that ensure applications run at consistent speeds, with service credits available if targets are not met. This is part of Hitachi's EverFlex service model.

In the area of cyber resilience, the platform offers protection through features like immutable snapshots and AI-based ransomware detection supported by CyberSense. If recovery is not possible following an incident, Hitachi Vantara offers expert assistance and compensation for the affected data storage.

To address environmental concerns, the new sustainability guarantee tracks and optimises power use. VSP One's energy-efficient design aims to lower carbon emissions by up to 40%. The service includes an energy usage SLA, allowing companies to better manage their data center energy costs and environmental impact.

These new features build on the company's existing commitments. These include guaranteed 100% data availability, 4:1 data reduction to improve storage efficiency, and non-disruptive upgrades through the Modern Storage Assurance program. These guarantees help maintain access to data during system upgrades and extend the life of existing storage infrastructure.

The platform is designed to unify data management through a single system, avoiding the need for multiple tools or Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). This update targets mid-sized enterprises and existing customers looking for simpler, more efficient storage solutions that meet performance, security, and sustainability demands.

Octavian Tanase, Chief Product Officer, Hitachi Vantara , said, "IT complexity, cyber threats and sustainability challenges continue to put enterprises under extreme pressure. With VSP One's latest enhancements, we are eliminating those roadblocks by delivering a unified, automation-friendly platform with guaranteed performance, resilience and efficiency built in."
