New Delhi, June 10 -- Indian IT services company HCL Technologies (HCLTech) on Tuesday launched a new cloud-based cybersecurity service in partnership with global technology company Cisco, aimed at improving enterprise security in an increasingly digital work environment.

The new managed Secure Service Edge (SSE) solution is designed to provide safer access to company systems for remote and hybrid employees while helping businesses respond more effectively to online threats.

The service combines Cisco's Secure Access technology with HCLTech's managed support to give organisations secure and reliable access to their data and applications. Designed with scalability in mind, the system also uses artificial intelligence to help detect and respond to threats quickly and to manage AI use safely within organisations.

The solution brings together various security functions under a single platform, aiming to make cybersecurity operations more straightforward for businesses. It is also supported by HCLTech's global network of Cyber Security Fusion Centres, which provide tools for real-time threat detection and analytics.

The launch builds on a long-standing partnership between HCLTech and Cisco, which has spanned nearly three decades and over 60 countries.

Earlier this month, HCLTech entered into a new partnership with US-based automation company UiPath. The collaboration aims to boost the adoption of advanced automation systems across industries, focusing on reducing the need for human intervention in business processes.

As part of this effort, HCLTech will use its experience with artificial intelligence to help implement UiPath's automation platform in areas like finance, supply chains and customer service. The company plans to use pre-built AI tools to make roll-out easier for clients and to ensure the systems can be scaled up as needed.

A new AI Lab will be set up in India as part of the initiative, where both companies will work on developing practical automation tools and solutions for various industries. HCLTech will support UiPath's global customers through its international delivery network, covering regions including North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific.
