New Delhi, June 16 -- HCL Technologies (HCLTech), India's third-largest IT services firm by revenue, announced a multi-year strategic partnership with E.ON, one of Europe's largest energy and utility providers, on Monday. The partnership aims to accelerate E.ON's product-based transformation using advanced cloud and AI technologies. Under the agreement, HCLTech will establish a private cloud and oversee cloud and network management across E.ON's global operations.
The collaboration seeks to enhance E.ON's cloud maturity and automation capabilities by utilising HCLTech's proprietary AI Force platform. This will enable the German utility firm to implement predictive operations, respond more swiftly to market changes, boost operational efficiency, and drive innovation.
Gert Buitenhuis, Head of Global Technology Platforms at E.ON, stated, "Our robust digital foundation with a highly mature cloud and network landscape is a pillar of our transformation. HCLTech is a strong partner to support E.ON in this next phase, delivering transformation at scale and driving value through automation and AI."
Pankaj Tagra, Corporate Vice President at HCLTech Europe, commented, "Our collaboration with E.ON highlights our continued growth and commitment to the European region. We are excited to partner with E.ON on its cloud transformation journey, leveraging our expertise in Cloud and DevOps transformation to foster innovation, agility, and efficiency. This partnership reaffirms HCLTech's position as a trusted digital transformation leader, delivering cutting-edge cloud solutions to global enterprises with its future-ready portfolio."
As of March 2025, the Noida-headquartered firm reported consolidated revenues of $13.8 billion and continues to expand its global presence across digital, cloud, and AI verticals. Currently, nearly 29% of HCLTech's revenue comes from the European market, with the Americas contributing a little less than two-thirds and the rest of the world making up the remaining 7%. While Europe is a key market for HCLTech, the Americas currently generate the largest share of their revenue.
The company believes that its stronghold in Europe, combined with its strong presence in the Americas and other markets, positions it for continued growth and success in the global technology landscape.
